We're still building our photo galleries.
Check back soon for additional images from our educational adventures.
In the mean time, enjoy these pictures from when we built a bottle wall in Jasper.

Beginning the Bottles
To make a bottle wall,
use the bottles like bricks.
We cemented them into
place and used rebar to
reinforce the wall.
-
Building the Wall
What a team!
They built the wall so
quickly and sturdily.
Here, you can see the
layers being added.
-
Why the wall?
This bottle wall is in
our garden vista at the
Sharptop Arts Association in Jasper.
Our kids designed and built
the garden using native and
edible plants. The
bottle wall helps to hide
the air conditioning unit.
-
Almost Done!
It's almost complete!
These kids are finishing the
end of the wall and are also
adding stones to the top as a bench.
Great job team!

Cleaning the Wall
The bottoms of the bottles
got dirty as we were building.
Here, one of our helpers
is cleaning the bottoms.
Thanks!
-
The Back of the Wall
When we built the wall,
we focused on building up and
making it sturdy. But we didn't
fill in the back of the wall
around the necks.
The wall is in a public space
and the exposed necks
posed a safety hazard.
-
Filled Back
Now the necks are safe -
they're less likely to break off
since they're surrounded
by cement.
And it looks cool!
-
The Wall
Check it out!
Our kids made such a
beautiful wall! And it's
also a bench so people can
relax in our garden!
-
Water Drainage
We were sure to include
'tunnels' in our wall so
the water can drain.

The Garden
Our vista garden
is coming along!
More projects will be held
in our vista in coming years.
Come play with us!
